Some journeys are meant to be taken alone, and some lessons in life need to be learned and discovered on your own. Astro numerology is no exception. Based on my very own personal experience and observations, I have noticed that people often explore the metaphysical, spiritual side of life when they are going through a personal crisis of their own. I have seen many examples of people who got their first exposure to the world of mysticism, and began their numerology (or astrology) journey during a difficult time in which they felt confused, directionless, and sometimes even hopeless about their path in life. What often happens is that they go off on their own, and spend more time in solitude, and seek higher guidance, hoping to find answers to profound questions like; who am I? why am I here? What have I done with my life? Am I on the right path? What is my purpose? What should I be doing with my life? What is the meaning of life, and why are we here? How can I grow in life? Is my belief system still in alignment with my values or who I want to become? Or should I change my beliefs and values to the new person I want to become? You get it. These ‘life crisis questions’ naturally come to mind when one embarks on a journey of self-discovery. Almost similar to the experiences one might feel when going through either a Personal Year 7 (ruled by Ketu), a Personal Year 2 (ruled by the Moon), or even a Personal Year 3 (ruled by Jupiter).
As you are reading this post right now, you might be a seeker yourself, and you might not always feel comfortable sharing your interests in metaphysics with others. Perhaps you feel others won’t understand your (newfound) interest, and therefore might judge you. So you keep things to yourself. I’ve been there myself. One thing I have learned in life is that no matter what you do, people will always judge you. But it shouldn’t stop you from becoming your best self. And if you have to do it through alternative healing methods that speak more to your soul, then go for it, even if you have to do it by yourself. What I have noticed is that whenever anyone develops their spiritual side through esoteric teachings, they usually walk their path alone. Here’s why.
Esotericism and mysticism are not widely accepted by society as a tool for personal development, self-discovery, and self-growth. Numerology, just like astrology, is still to this day and age considered by the masses as a divination tool, and a so-called “pseudoscience” that doesn’t apply to the ‘real world’. Our society, mostly western, doesn’t accept numerology as a “real science” because the public still perceives it as a superstitious belief. Most people have this image about astrology and numerology in their heads of evil-looking, pointed head-wearing witches who look into crystal bowls and the stars to predict one’s life. Because of this, both subject matters are not taught in schools, they are not part of the traditional education system. In today’s modern world, only the subjects that are taught in schools matter in life, these are considered as “normal”. Anything that deviates from the system is considered abnormal or alternative. In my humble opinion, I find this unfortunate.
I wish numerology was part of the school curriculum because it is, in fact, mathematical knowledge combined with spiritual understanding and behavioral psychology. Then again, people usually fear what they don’t know and understand. Therefore, they criticize everything that is not widely accepted or not considered as “normal”. And for that reason alone, those that don’t like to conform to the norm, and question the status quo, or have a different perspective of viewing the world, usually find themselves all alone in their journey.
Another reason one often walks their Astro-numerology journey alone, and can’t really share it with people close to them (unless they’ve found their soul tribe) is that not everybody is on the quest for higher knowledge. Not everyone is on a spiritual path. Not everyone is in tune with their spirituality or is ready to explore the metaphysical side of life. After all, each of us walks a different path. There is a reason numerology is called hidden and secret knowledge. It is not meant for everyone to know. The same goes for astrology. It pertains to Divine knowledge that is given by the Heavens and thus speaks to a certain group of people who are in tune with the cosmos, and ready to grow their souls through ancient spiritual teachings. This higher knowledge usually comes to them when the time is right; when one is ready to elevate their soul and take it to the next level.
In conclusion, when you find yourself all alone in your Astro numerology journey, understand that it is perfectly fine. Of course, it would be nice if everyone was supportive and understanding. Then again, you can’t always have everyone on board with you. All you can do is to accept and embrace your path with all your heart, even if you have to walk it alone. Even if people around you might be a bunch of skeptics and might not approve of it. Just don’t worry about what others think. Or in the words of Banksy; “not everyone will understand your journey. That’s okay. You’re here to live your life, not to make everyone understand.”
…And with this final quote, I end this post.
