What is your professional background?

I hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, where I’m specialized in International Business and Languages with a minor in Marketing. I previously worked in the aviation industry (from flight attendant to office management and event planning) until I said goodbye to the industry some time ago.  I currently freelance and volunteer in event planning/production .

What are your hobbies/interests?

I have a broad range of interests. I find it especially important to engage myself with anything where I can be myself and express my creativity. With that being said: I love traveling, fashion(design and styling), beauty, writing/blogging, photography and event planning.

Why is your blog called ‘Thursday in August’?

The answer is pretty simple: I was born on a Thursday in August. 😉 If you’re interested in the extensive and full story behind my blog name, click here.

When did you start blogging and why?

I actually started my first blog in the Summer of 2008, then re-started in 2010 and 2011 on and off, but I never took it seriously. So I’ve had several blogs in the past, but all were mostly related to fashion and beauty, but I just didn’t like the way my blogs were going. Now I’ve grown as a person and I’ve come to a point where I want to focus only on the things that bring me joy and happiness while documenting it for life. And I believe my current blog(Thursday in August), which I’ve started in November 2015, is leading me towards the right direction in life. My blog is my creative outlet and my visual diary that allows me to be myself and express my thoughts and feelings creatively while sharing it with the world.

 How often do you blog?

When it comes to blogging I prefer to focus on quality rather than quantity. So I probably write behind the scenes 3-4 times a week, but on average I publish 1-2 posts a week.

Who takes your photos?

I take all photos myself, unless I’m in them. For my style photos, I usually ask my sister or brother…and sometimes even complete strangers (when I’m traveling).

What camera do you use?

All my current photos are taken with my phone camera(Samsung Galaxy S7). I previously used a simple Samsung compact digital camera, until I had to renew my phone plan in March of 2016 and the Galaxy S7 just launched.  I don’t believe you need an expensive professional camera to take high res photos. Trust me, the camera of my Galaxy S7 surpasses some of the most professional cameras out there.

I’m a company/brand and I’d like to work with you. Can I advertise on your blog?
