2024 General Insights (in brief)

The energy has shifted. We are in 2024, a Universal Year 8, ruled (or influenced) by Saturn; the ultimate planet of karma. As I already mentioned in my previous newsletter; 2024 will be a year in which we will witness many karmic events (either good or bad) between individuals, companies, corporations, organizations, countries, and various government bodies. It is a time of hard work, responsibility, productivity, improvements, commitments, structure, organization, progress, growth, and stability. Though things may move at a snail’s pace, you will see progress and growth in various areas, both on a personal and collective level, especially if you do things according to the rules and regulations of Saturn. Remember, Saturn is, in a spiritual sense, the law of karma, and from a material perspective, it also represents the law created by various governments, companies, organizations, and authorities (or authority figures) worldwide. This means that if you want to achieve your goals and dreams and be rewarded for your deeds, you need to put in the work. You need to be practical and consistent in your efforts and be ethical, disciplined, responsible, accountable, and committed at all times. That is when you may reap the fruits of your labor. But if you do not obey the rules that are set in place, mistreat others (including animals), and do things unethically, then things may come crashing down on you, either personally or professionally.

This may seem all doom and gloom, but it is not. What I described above is nothing more than the reality of life. After all, Saturn is our everyday reality. So, those who are still sleeping and living in last year’s illusion, which was a Universal Year 7 (ruled by Ketu), may get a sudden wake-up call, i.e. a reality check. They will suddenly realize that certain things in their life, organization, company, government, or whatever community they belong to are still unstable and insecure. Since Saturn is all about long-term goals, solid foundations, security, and stability; those who find themselves in a state of confusion and illusion or take on a lackadaisical approach towards life may need to work extra hard to make improvements and adjustments where necessary to build a solid foundation for the future. And sometimes it means that certain commitments may be broken all at once. Thus, parting ways with those things and people who no longer serve one’s highest good—either on a personal or professional level—may be one of the karmic events that may come forth throughout the year.

Nonetheless, those who are aware of themselves, conscious of their surroundings, and live their lives in alignment with the universal energies (including Saturn’s laws), will see some major forward movement, improvements, recognition, rewards, and overall positive results concerning their goals and future.

Energies for January, February & March 2024

We are in a year of heavy karmic duties that we need to do and face throughout these next 12 months. You may think: wasn’t 2023 already a year of karma? Yes, it was. In fact, 2023 was a Universal Year 7, ruled by Ketu, which represents everything related to our past karma. So last year, we dealt with many things related to our past. Saturn (8), on the other hand, represents both our past and present karma. Thus, throughout 2024, we can either get rewarded or punished for the things we did in the past or what we do now.

From both a personal and universal level, I can say that 2023 was quite the year. Though the energy has shifted and things seem to be all in the past, the energies of the Universal Year 7 still linger on until mid-March. So around Spring time, we can truly say farewell to 2023 because that is when the energies of the Universal Year 8 are in full effect.

Now, let’s have a quick look at what the first three months of 2024 have in store for us on a collective level and how you can best use this energy to your advantage.

January 2024 (Universal Month 9 – Ruled by Mars): A Time For Completion And Letting Go!

January is a Universal Month 9, ruled by Mars—the planet of aggression, willpower, motivation, ambition, passion, physicality, sexual drive, and creative self-expression. This means that throughout the month, we may sense energies and experience events concerning the behavioral qualities of this planet.

It is a good month for:

Humanitarian activities, moving homes, tying up loose ends, organizing your room/home/office space, paying off debts, taking charge of financial matters, parting ways with people, reconciling broken relationships, reuniting with past relations, taking new initiatives, applying for a new job, upgrading your skills, starting a creative project, forging ahead with plans, setting new goals, wrapping up old chapters, finishing projects, starting a new healthcare regimen, exercising or engaging in any form of physical activity, dealing with real estate/property matters, traveling overseas.

FYI: November 2023 was a Universal Month 9 as well. So, you may already have experienced some events mentioned above. Thus, January 2024 is a continuation of what you’ve experienced then.

February 2024 (Universal Month 1 – Ruled by the Sun): A Time For Moving Forward While Letting Go

February is a Universal Month 1, ruled by the Sun—the planet that symbolizes ego, identity, willpower, confidence, ambition, physicality, creative self-expression, and fatherhood. This means that throughout the month, we may sense energies and experience events concerning the behavioral qualities of this planet.

It’s a good month for: 

Taking new initiatives, going into a new direction, starting creative projects, starting a new hobby, studying/learning a new subject, upgrading your talents and skills, taking up a new course, forging ahead with any new plans, setting new future goals, starting a new job/business/project, starting a new healthcare regimen, getting a health checkup, exercising or engaging in any form of physical activity, getting a new hairstyle or wardrobe style, changing your appearance, moving into a new home, committing to a new relationship (personal or professional), making plans to start a family.

FYI: December 2023 was a Universal Month 1 as well. So, you may already have experienced some events mentioned above. Thus, February 2024 is a continuation of what you’ve experienced then.

March 2024 (Universal Month 2 – Ruled by the Moon): A Time For Preparation While Maintaining Balance

March is a Universal Month 2, ruled by the Moon—the planet that symbolizes emotions, feelings, (subconscious) mind, nourishment, nurturing, comforts, mental peace, emotional happiness, and motherhood. This means that throughout the month, we may sense energies and experience events concerning the behavioral qualities of this planet.

It is a good month for:

Taking care of yourself/engaging in self-care practices, nurturing and nourishing the mind, body and soul, eating more nutritious foods, spending more time in nature, spending more time with loved ones (especially children), balancing home and work life, dealing with property matters, changing homes, (re) decorating and organizing your home, getting a health checkup, making plans to start a family/adding a new addition to your family, traveling overseas or go on a weekend getaway, building new partnerships or improving current ones, working on creative (home-based) projects, writing (a book), studying/learning something new, engaging in spiritual practices.

Q1 – 2024 Summary

To sum things up; the energies of the first quarter of 2024 represent a time of endings and new beginnings while working on long-term goals to build a more solid, stable future for yourself and/or the family you belong to.
