3 Things I Love About March (Hello Spring!)

Spring Season Fashion Street Style

Helloooooo March! I love the start of a new month, because to me it represents the start of new beginnings and letting go of the old. With that said, these are the 3 main things I just love about March.

Daylight Saving Time

March is the month where we have to “spring” the clock forwards with an hour. This happens in the last weekend of the month at around 2am, here in the Netherlands. Turning the clock forwards with one hour, means we can enjoy longer daylight in the evenings, as we move from winter into the spring and summer season. Hence, early sunrise and later sunsets! – Well, this lasts until the fall of course. Nonetheless, thank you daylight saving time!

Sunny And Warmer Days Ahead!

Apart from moving the clock forwards with one hour, March also marks the official start of spring, which means warmer days ahead! I’m so looking forward to the warmer season, because the winter is just too depressing. The weather really has an impact on someone’s mental health, you know. Well, let’s just say that my mood makes a 360 degrees shift (in a positive sense) whenever the sun shines! Not only from my side, I believe it’s a general fact that people tend to be happier during warmer seasons than in the cold, because when it’s sunny and warm outside, you automatically want to be more active outdoors than staying indoors.

The Arrival Of The First Spring Flowers

Besides the fact that I look forward to warmer days ahead, I love how March sets the tone for the spring season through beautiful and colorful floral sceneries. Early spring flowers like daffodils and crocuses are signs that spring is on its way! I just love flowers. They put a smile on my face and brighten my day!!

So tell me, are you looking forward to the warmer season? Have you already spotted some early signs of spring in your town/country? Let me know! As always, xo, Jey.
