I have an oily skin that’s super sensitive to breakouts every now and then. So I’m always careful with certain skincare products, and of course the food I eat. With that said, I’m always looking for ways to treat my pimples and for the past few weeks I’ve tried and tested Australia’s Original 100% Pure Tea Tree Oil from Thursday Plantation. ( – This was sent to me btw)
Tea Tree Oil is actually one of Australia’s oldest natural remedy that’s derived from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia plant. Tea Tree Oil is an essential oil and antiseptic that is known for its antibacterial and antifungal properties to relieve and treat infections, burns, cuts, acne and pimples.
I had never used Tea Tree Oil on pimples before, but since I’ve read good reviews about it, I thought to just give it a try. So I’ve used Thursday Plantation’s Tea Tree Oil on a full blown breakout by applying it directly on my pimples, twice a day, with a cotton swab and these were the 3 things I’ve noticed:
- The Tea Tree Oil dried out my pimples, which made it easier to peel off any dead skin and flaky patches
- My pimples were noticeably smaller the next day
- Although its high concentration( since it’s 100% pure) the Tea Tree Oil didn’t burn my skin, but it actually felt very soothing. I wouldn’t recommend to apply too much though, just a tiny dab on a cotton swab is sufficient.
Overall, I’d say that Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil is more of a natural reliever that slowly helps remove any breakouts and pimples effectively, as days go by. Obviously it’s no miracle remedy, but a slow, natural, yet effective solution to heal pimples. So far, Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil is one of the strongest spot treatments I’ve tried, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an all pure and natural way to heal a breakout.
So tell me, what do you use to treat your pimples? Have you tried out Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Oil before? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. As always, xo, Jey.
