Black and White

black and white dress

Black-and-white always looks modern, whatever that word means.” – Karl Lagerfeld

Karl always has some interesting quotes and somehow this one fits this style post perfectly. What I think Karl means is that you can never go wrong with black and white, because this color combination will never go out of style. And he is the perfect example of someone who always wears black and white. I personally don’t always wear black and white, but when I’m lost in my closet it’s those colors that I end up choosing. It’s safe, stylish and classic.

20160626_151301(0)black and white fashionLast week I wore a graphic black and white shift dress from Malaysian brand Cultivation Elle. I actually bought this dress two years ago in Kuala Lumpur. I combined it with a black boxy blazer from ZARA, black wedges from Nine West and my 8-year old quilted black bag from ZARA. As for the black and white printed scarf in my hair, I can honestly not tell you where it’s from, because I forgot. Sometimes I just forget where I purchased most things, especially when I don’t wear them often. Although I have to say that wearing a scarf in my hair has become my recent go-to hair style(especially when I don’t feel like styling my hair – A scarf is the ideal fix!). black and white dressblack and white fashion trendSome more photos of my black and white look.
